So, who am I?
Born in Washington D.C., Samantha Gunney developed a love for music, writing and singing songs throughout her childhood.
As a seasoned audio engineer, Samantha has worked with artists, producers, voice-over talents and radio personalities, including having the opportunity to work alongside Washington DC's WPGC 95.5 FM radio station as a recording and mixing engineer for the Washington Commander’s song segment on the popular Donnie Simpson Morning Show. Samantha also is the current voice of Washington D.C.’s afternoon drive – singing the theme song to The Donnie Simpson Show on WMMJ’s 102.3 FM and also the theme of The Allison & Marc In The Afternoon Show, previously on WHUR’s 96.3 FM, but can currently be heard on Miami’s digital based radio station 100 Hip Hop and RNB.
As a songwriter, audio engineer and vocalist, Samantha has collaborated with several artists, songwriters, and producers, including Raheem DeVaughn, Bryan “Composer” Nelson (Selena Gomez, Christina Aguilera, Trey Songz), Drumma Boy (Jeezy, Drake, T.I.), Dilemma (Jazmine Sullivan, Meek Mill) & Jay Fenix (Melanie Fiona), giving her all in every project.
In 2020, she learned under powerhouse songwriter, producer and educator, Michele Vice-Maslin, growing her knowledge of music and business at every turn. The following year, Samantha's engineering work was featured on Hulu's "Your Attention Please" (Season 3, Episode 3), as she was one of the recording engineers on the unreleased Original Song "Something You Should Know," written by Dr. Sammy (Samuel Ramsey).
In 2022, Samantha teamed up with friend and fellow songwriter Katie Wellenberg, creator of the blog Song Brewery, to create a podcast entitled "The Pen And The Voice." This is a storyteller’s podcast that provides unseen insights into life behind the art of songwriting. The show will feature interviews from guests and experts from all around the music business and beyond. This is a movement towards a healthier culture for creators.
Samantha continues to share her love of creatively blending vocal harmonies, lyrics and melodies, knowing that her songwriting is not simply about putting words to music, but about leaving a lasting memory on the minds and hearts of her audience – a calling that she wouldn’t trade for the world.
Quality With Purpose
I believe it's paramount to create a committed and genuine community that has a positive influence on people’s lives beyond the music industry. With more people listening to audio than ever before, the battle for attention is massive, and you have to work hard to have your voice heard. That's why it's my goal to help you have the quality sound that will change lives for the better.
